Dr. Mylhan Myers was born and raised in Rolla, Missouri. The nephew of Dr. David Myers and grandson of Dr. B.J. Myers, he was the 7th in their family to attend the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (A.T. Still University).

Dr. Myers completed his specialty training at Via Christi Family Medicine Residency, a University of Kansas-sponsored program in Wichita. He then completed a fellowship in obstetrics at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri.

Initially Dr. Myers practiced in southwest Missouri, where he worked for Citizens Memorial Hospital as their founding medical director of the Willard Medical Center. While working for CMH, Dr. Myers held adjunct faculty positions with Kansas City University teaching medical students and with Cox Health Family Medicine Residency training resident physicians.

Upon returning to Rolla, Dr. Myers was employed full time by Phelps Health, holding such roles as Director of Student Medical Education. Dr. Myers continues to work in a part-time capacity for Phelps Health, maintaining his broad hospital-based practice that includes Labor & Delivery call.

Currently a Lieutenant Commander (O-4) in the US Navy Reserve, he became the first-ever reserve family physician to be credentialed in Cesarean deliveries. Dr. Myers’ service so far has ranged from delivering babies in Spain to leading the medical detachment for his Marine Corps unit as Battalion Surgeon.

Dr. Myers and his wife, Rachael, live in Rolla with their 2 children.
